In recent days, a two-day course was organized for mentors in District Rajanpur by the Punjab Human Capital Investment Project (PHCIP), an initiative of the Punjab Social Protection Authority.

At this occasion, District Focal Person PHICP, Irfan Bashir, gave an introduction on the PCHIP project to the attendees, highlighting the Aaghosh, Khud Mukhtar and Bunyad programs’ aims and objectives. He commented on how challenging it was to do door to door home visits to approach people in this extreme heatwave, and lauded the untiring efforts of the mentors in going above and beyond to fulfill their duties. He also praised the fact that it is the mentors alone who are making great strides in registering pregnant and lactating women on the EMR App.

Almost 30 attendees from District Jampur were present at this Refresher Course, for whom IRM Training Expert Naveeda Sadiq, and Rahil Hashmi, held detailed sessions on the eligibility and induction process for the Khud Mukhtar and Aaghosh programs. During the 2-day Refresher Course, under the Khud Mukhtar program in District Jampur, mentors’ experiences also came into discussion, which made it apparent that the mentors have been fulfilling their responsibilities with commitment and dedication. This ensures the reach of the benefits of the PHCIP Aaghosh and Khud Mukhtar programs can extend to as many Benazir Income Support Program registered households as possible.

The Training came to a close at the local IRM office.
