DEPUTY CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER PSPA VISITS BAHAWALPUR TO REVIEW PHCIP’S PERFORMANCE

Haider Abbas, Deputy Chief Executive Officer Punjab Social Protection Authority, visited the Bahawalpur District and reviewed the overall performance of Punjab Human Capital Investment Project (PHCIP).

Muhammad Zain ul Abedin, District Focal Person PHCIP, welcomed the Deputy CEO to Bahawalpur and gave him a detailed briefing about the ongoing work under the Aaghosh, Khud Mukhtar and Bunyad programs under PHCIP in the Bahawalpur District Office.

Later, the Deputy CEO visited the Government Girls Primary School Medical Colony, Bahawalpur under the Bunyad program, and reviewed the learning kits and other educational facilities provided to the students under Early Childhood Care Education.

He visited the Basic Health Unit in Khanwali, where he reviewed the process of registration of pregnant and lactating mothers under the Aaghosh program, free medical check-ups, wallet account registration through HBL Konnect and also went over the process of receiving funds. He also inquired about the treatment facilities and money collection from the beneficiaries.

On this occasion, Dr. Amina Khan, Women Medical Officer/Incharge of Basic Health Unit Khanwali, while giving a briefing to the Deputy CEO, said that due to the Aaghosh program, the number of women and children benefiting from medical services at the health center has increased and women have started to prioritize safe delivery due to this Program.

He also visited the IRM Office. At this occasion, the IRM team informed him about the details of the Khud Mukhtar program. Later on, he met some of the beneficiaries and also reviewed the productive assets provided to them.

Concluding the visit, Haider Abbas, Deputy CEO PSPA, appreciated the practical steps taken for Punjab Human Capital Investment Project projects and termed them as important steps in providing social security.

He said that PHCIP is working in line with the vision of the Punjab Government for the resource-deprived and underprivileged classes of society, so that they can be made contributing citizens of the society. Field Officer Nauman Ashraf was also present at this time.
