TRAINING FOR LHVs AND LHSs IN DISTRICT KHUSHAB

A training session on EMR App and Social Mobilizing was organized under the Aaghosh Program by the Punjab Human Capital Investment Project (PHCIP), an initiative of the Punjab Social Protection Authority, for approximately 70 Lady Health visitors (LHVs) and Lady Health Supervisors (LHSs) in district Khushab.

District Health Officer Preventor Services Dr. Rao Gulzar Yousuf warmly welcomed the PHCIP team with his colleagues and with best wishes assured his complete support for the success of the Aaghosh Program.

PHCIP Health Specialist Dr. Muhammad Nasir emphasized on nutrient-rich diet for better health of pregnant and lactating women and advised the supervisors to inform women of the importance of a nutrient-rich diet during meetings. Meanwhile, EMR Specialist Abid Ghaffar trained LHVs about the usage and data feeding process of the EMR App.

Addressing the participants, PHCIP Field Officer Muhammad Arshad said, “This program is focused on improving the current health services and the health of pregnant and lactating women. Through this training, we aim to provide complete guidance to health staff about EMR App so that the registration process is made handy.” Aaghosh Communication Kits were also distributed to augment the passion of the LHVs, LHSs, clinical and other field staff so that maximum number of pregnant and lactating women get the maximum benefits.

While talking to the participants, DC IRMNCH Dr. Saima Ikraam said, “Our goal is to provide maximum benefits of the Aaghosh Program to maximum beneficiaries registered under the Benazir Income Support Program.”

Monitoring and Evolution Officer / Social Organizer IRMNCH Waqar Ali Khan and Data Analyst Fahad Ashraf also attended the session.
