The World Bank’s Implementation Support Mission (ISM) for the Punjab Human Capital Investment Project (PHCIP), kicked off today at the Punjab Social Protection Authority (PSPA) office. Led by Mr. Ali Shehzad, Project Director of PHCIP and CEO of PSPA, this milestone event brings together key stakeholders to discuss project progress and address critical challenges within the Social Protection component.

During the session, Mr. Ali Shehzad outlined the project’s implementation progress, shedding light on the challenges faced in the Social Protection component. This was followed by comprehensive discussions on several critical aspects, including payment service provision, communication plans for the Aaghosh (Health & Nutrition Conditional Cash Transfer) program, updates on the Khud Mukhtar (Economic Inclusion) program, and the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.

The World Bank team participating in this mission includes Mr. Sohail S. Abbasi, Senior Social Protection Specialist / Task Team Leader, Ms. Amna Khan, Social Protection Specialist, Mr. Gul Najam Jamy, Senior Social Protection Specialist and Mr. Rab Nawaz, Senior Advisor. In addition, all team leads from the PHCIP-PSPA component were actively engaged in this productive meeting.
