DISTRICT COORDINATION COMMITTEE MEETING CHAIRED BY ADDITIONAL DEPUTY COMMISSIONER RAHIM YAR KHAN, GENERAL AYUB BUKHARI.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Rahim Yar Khan General Ayub Bukhari presided over the District Coordination Committee Meeting. Participants included which Dr. Liaquat Chauhan, District Health Officer HR&MIS, Dr. Shehzad, DCIR MNCH, Kasturaji Shad, CEO Education, Rehana Aram, Focal Person PHCIP Education Department, Muhammad Yunus Buzdar, Sobia Ashraf, Deputy Director Local Government & Development, Majid Sattar, Focal Person and Hashim Akhtar, District Field Officer.

In the meeting, the progress of components under Punjab Human Capital Investment Project, an initiative of Punjab Social Protection Authority, namely Aaghosh, Bunyad (Early Childhood Education) and the Khud Mukhtar project, was reviewed.

District Focal Person Majid Sattar while giving a briefing said that 16,918 women associated with Benazir Income Support Program in the Rahim Yar Khan District are benefiting from the Aaghosh program after enrolling at the health centers. Under the Bunyad program, the Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) facility has been provided in 165 schools. Apart from this, productive assets worth Rs. 72,000 each have been transferred to select 4,042 deserving households of Benazir Income Support Program beneficiaries under the Khud Mukhtar Program, and 5,958 deserving households will also receive productive assets. Additional Deputy Commissioner, General Ayub Bukhari, while appreciating the performance of the PHCIP team, said the District Administration will provide all possible support for the success of this Government of Punjab project.

He further went on to say that the maximum Program publicity should be ensured so that women can benefit from it. Providing productive assets to households through the Khud Mukhtar program will improve their financial conditions.

The Deputy Commissioner added that the healthy lives of children and women is very important to the PHCIP Team. Women should take advantage of government-provided benefits by getting themselves registered at the health centers of the Punjab Government.
