Progress and performance review of Aghosh, Khud Muhkhtar and Bunyad program under Punjab Human Capital Investment Project in Bahawalpur.
A team from World Bank visited Bahawalpur district to examine the progress made by Punjab Human Capital Investment Project under Punjab Social Protection Authority. On the occasion, in attendance were PHCIP Project Director Tariq Mahmood, World Bank Team Senior Economist Amir Hassan, Education Economist Mina Zamand, Consultant Mahreen and PHCIP Program Manager of Early Childhood Education Component Ayesha Hussain. The delegation reviewed school kits, teaching method and the environment in 2 ECE school running under the project.
The delegation also attended a training on economic and business activities under Khud Muhkhtar program in Basti Shahdra and later participated in distribution of productive assets in Raman Union Council. In which 12 productive assets were distributed among the eligible married couples. The delegation visited 3 beneficiaries of the Khud Muhkhtar program, that were successfully running their businesses.
Team also visited Basic Health Centers Sanjar and 29 BC to review the Aghosh program. IRMNCH District Coordinator Dr. Abdul Sattar and Bahawalpur District Health Authority Focal Person Bilal Ilyas were among the attendees as well.
