The 19th Project Coordination Committee (PCC) meeting

The 19th Project Coordination Committee (PCC) meeting for the Punjab Human Capital Investment Project (PHCIP) was convened under the chairmanship of Mr. Ali Shehzad, CEO-PSPA/PD-PHCIP.
Representatives from the School Education Department, Health & Population Department, and implementing partners evaluated the progress of PHCIP’s components: Aaghosh, Khud Mukhtar, and Bunyad. The committee reviewed the status of actions taken on the recommendations from the March 2025 World Bank Implementation Support Mission.
Additionally, the committee was briefed about the proposed deployment of the Biometric Verification System at health facilities for the Health & Nutrition Conditional Cash Transfer – Aaghosh program.
The Chair emphasized PHCIP’s continuous efforts to improve health, education, and social protection outcomes in target districts. Participants were briefed about the demonstrable successes from the shift of payment service provider and communications efforts, including a mass media campaign and the Aaghosh balance checking portal, which play a crucial role in helping beneficiaries withdraw money more efficiently.
