World Bank Implementation Support Mission for Punjab Human Capital Investment Project (PHCIP) – Day 1 Highlights

The first round of meetings for World Bank Implementation Support Mission for the Punjab Human Capital Investment Project (PHCIP) kicked off today at the premises of Punjab Social Protection Authority (PSPA). CEO PSPA and Project Director PHCIP Mr. Ali Shehzad, welcomed the delegates and briefed them on the progress of the project.
The World Bank Mission led by Task Team Leader & Senior Social Protection Specialist Mr. Sohail S. Abbasi and Social Protection Specialist Ms. Amna Khan reviewed progress on the communication action plan, new campaigns and initiatives undertaken to strengthen public outreach, enhance awareness, and improve stakeholder engagement for the PHCIP Aaghosh component.
The agenda for today also included a review of the Economic Inclusion component where they were briefed about the progress on asset distribution and expected targets till the completion of the financial year.
All team leads from the PHCIP-PSPA actively participated in the meeting. The World Bank Implementation Support Mission expressed satisfaction on the agenda items being discussed.
