World Bank’s Implementation Support Mission Commences for Punjab Human Capital Investment Project

On the second day of the World Bank’s Implementation Support Mission (ISM) for the Punjab Human Capital Investment Project (PHCIP), Mr Ali Shehzad PD – PHCIP and CEO Punjab Social Protection Authority chaired the meeting. The session focused on the progress and the way forward for the key project components.
Dr. Akhtar Rasheed – Program Manager (Health Component) and Mr. Farooq Rasheed – PD PMIU (Education Component), along with their teams, discussed in detail the progress, results framework, and implementation updates of their respective components.
Whereas, Environmental session was led by Ms. Rahat Jabeen -Senior Environmental Specialist World Bank. She along with Mr Zahid Shakeel – Environmental Consultant discussed the progress of environmental and social safeguards for the restoration of flood-affected schools in the education component. The management of healthcare waste and burial pits in BHUs and RHCs was also discussed which falls under the health component.
